Overview

XiP enables for cloning itself. Below there is simple page proving nightly builds of XiP application.

Notes

  • Only desktop version provides function of cloning (offline columns in above screen shot)

Procedure

  • Start XiP destop version
  • Select [Export] - [Clone Application] from [File] menu.

  • Clone Application Wizard appears

  • [Step 1:: Directory Specification], press "Browse" to specify the target directory where cloned application will be placed.

  • Press "Next" button
  • [Step 2:: Application Runtime Specification], for setting the Java heap size and specify the other run-time parameters.
Init Java Heap Size [-Xms] - List of available initial heap sizes. The unit is MB. 
Max Java Heap Size [-Xmx] - List of available maximum heap sizes. The unit is MB. 
Runtime parameters - For the case if the user wants to set others than the above

  • Press "Next" button
  • [Step 3:: Completing setting]. The user can see his all settings here.

  • Press "Finish" button to complete configuration and generate cloned application.
  • When generation of the clone is completed the user can find listed below files in directory provided in the Step 1
- XiP.bat 	Batch file to start the GUI-based XiP.
- XiP.sh 	Shell file to start the GUI-based XiP.
- XiP_console.bat 	Batch file to start the console-based XiP.
- XiP_console.sh 	The shell file to start the console-based XiP.
- install.xml 	An external components installation configuration file (components which will be installed during first start)
- installPlugin.xml 	Plug-in  installation configuration file (plug-ins which will be installed during first start)
- XiP.jar 	An application main library.
- lib / 	Folder containing libraries necessary for running the XiP.
